Powerful Prayers with Pastor John Collins

According to Pastor John Collins from Bringing Back God, prayer is probably is one of the most powerful tools we have to help us overcome obstacles in our lives. Even if the obstacle is as large as a mountain, Jesus teaches us that we have the power to make mountains move. Jesus also teaches is to pray for our enemies. If you start doing this I guarantee you that the lord will bless you in ways that you never thought was possible.
Pastor John Collins asks do you know that in Scripture the word for service, art, worship is the very same word: AVODAH….your blog is service, your blog is art, and your blog is worship and we have these labels for the bits and pieces of who we are and what we do. But God takes up the all the threads of being and weaves them into a seamless silk. He calls it avodah.
“The Lord God took the man and placed him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it” (Genesis 2:15). We read the translated word “work” and think that is what God meant for us to do. The Hebrew word is avodah. It is the same word in Exodus 34:21, in the writing of the Ten Commandments, “Six days you shall work….” Six days you shall avodah.
Bringing Back God is an advocate of the Mentoring Project. The Mentoring Project is a nationwide movement to support single moms and their children by providing practical support for single moms, providing basic needs including help with household repairs, for example—and other resources. Here’s what Miller had to say to TCWabout the project, and his thankfulness for his mother’s influence in his life.
John Collins and Bringing Back God would like to leave you with these questions. What did it mean when Jesus said, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" Was he really forsaken by God, or was something else going on?
